About This Month's Event
Join us for this fun, energetic, and playful evening devoted to healing,
awakening, and celebrating our bodies' energy centers (chakras). Together,
we'll explore the ways in which our chakra system affects and is effected
by our experiences with love, life, and spirit. Through meditation,
visualization, movement, creative play, music, breathing, personal
exploration, and group interaction, we'll deeply connect with our
own chakras as well as each others' - honoring them as the energetic
expressions of our root/sexual ground, balance, power, love, truth,
insight, and spiritual connection. The evening will also include a
rare opportunity to experience the "Chakra Union"... a powerful
and dynamic practice based on an ancient Tibetan breathing mediation
and partner energy work. All are welcome. We look forward to seeing
you there!
What Are Chakras?
Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning "wheel" or "vortex,"
and refers to specific energy centers of the body that receive and
process life-force energy, also known as Prana, Chi, or Qi. Like a
radio picks up external radio waves and transforms them into sound,
chakras receive life-force energy from the universe, metabolize it,
and then distribute it throughout the body all the way down to the
cellular level where it energizes, replenishes, and harmonizes
our cellular function and nourishes our consciousness.
Chakras
are part of an interconnected system of energy centers in which each
one affects the energy of the rest. In other words, if one chakra
is tense, blocked, or out of balance, other chakras will be negatively
affected, and their vitality diminished. Alternatively, when one chakra
becomes healed, opened, and re-balanced, the resulting free flow of
energy promotes revitalization and healthy expansion of the other
chakras.

Volunteers
Needed to Create Sacred Space
We're
always in need of volunteers to help set up and/or take down the sacred
space we create for each Sacred Saturday event. Of course,
volunteers get to attend the evening for free, often join us afterwards
for a late meal, and will be invited to an annual Tantric Gratitude
Party. To volunteer, please call (831) 457-6535 or email volunteers@ecstaticlove.net.

What
Are Sacred Saturdays?
Held the first Saturday of each month, Sacred Saturdays offer
an evening of sacred ritual and community celebration, drawing from
various traditions such as Tantra, meditation, yoga, Sufism, Buddhism,
Native American, dance, chant, and other paths to help us connect
with ourselves and others with presence, compassion, and awareness.
Each evening is dedicated to celebrating your highest self while recognizing
the divine in each other through breath, movement, energy work, music,
guided visualization, and conscious communication. Practices may be
done alone, with a partner, or as part of the whole group. We strive
to create a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for those
coming alone, as a couple, or in groups; those coming for the first
time; and for those who want to join a community of like-minded people
dedicated to cultivating and sharing the sacredness and joy of life.
All are welcome. No experience required, feel free to just drop in.
