This Month's Event
Every person, whether man or woman, has both masculine (Yang) and
feminine (Yin) qualities. These qualities arise from the lifeforce
energy that manifests uniquely in each of us. Join Michael Pooley
and special guest Jim Benson at this very special Sacred Saturday,
where we'll explore both inner and outer aspects of Yin & Yang...
and beyond! Through meditation, dialog, movement, music, and inter-personal
interaction, we'll immerse in the dynamic dance between our Yin &
Yang aspects of self. We'll examine how, when balanced and in harmony,
these aspects can guide us through life as an integrated whole. Expect
to experience a taste of who you are beneath the layers of personality
and gender. All are welcome. No experience required. We look forward
to seeing you there.

Jim Benson
Jim Benson has participated
in and facilitated men’s groups for the last 13 years, including
the most established David Deida-based men’s group in the Bay
area. His Awakened Masculine groups have helped numerous men
embody who they are more fully (www.awakenedmasculine.com). Jim brings
a deep toolkit to his work with both men and women: energy healer
in private practice; contact improvisation dancer and teacher; facilitator
for emotional release work; and over 20 years on a path dedicated
to conscious awakening. Jim has led SkyDancing Tantra workshops internationally
with Margot Anand. He has co-authored two books and is a former world
champion professional athlete.

Needed to Create Sacred Space
We're always
in need of volunteers to help set up and/or take down the sacred space
we create for each Sacred Saturday event. Of course, volunteers get
to attend the evening for free, often join us afterwards for a late
meal, and will be invited to our annual Holiday Gratitude Party. To

Sacred Saturdays
Each Sacred Saturday is unique, drawing from various traditions such
as Tantra, meditation, yoga, Buddhism, Sufism, Native American, dance,
chant, and other paths to help us connect with ourselves and each
other from a place of presence, awareness, and aliveness. Each monthly
evening provides the opportunity to participate in a special Tantric
Puja (sacred ritual) that may involve movement, music, breath practice,
energy work, dance, chanting, active and still meditations, guided
visualization, communication practices, and other ways to honor and
celebrate our bodies, hearts, and spirit. Practices and rituals may
be done alone, with a partner, or as part of the whole group. We strive
to create an environment that is safe, respectful, and comfortable
for those coming alone or as a couple, those coming for the first
time, and those who want to build an ongoing community of people devoted
to cultivating sacredness and joy in life.
